Toddlers - Green Room

2.5 to 3 years of age

Welcome to our Toddlers(Green) Group. Our toddler room is licensed for children aged between 2 1/2 years and 3 years. We have 2 staff (a Group Leader and Assistant) with a maximum group size of 10 children at any one time.

Our program focuses on helping support your child’s “Life Skills” such as toilet training, manners, social & emotional skill & independence skills in a safe, supportive environment. Individual childs needs are always taken into account and Parents goals for their child are a part of the program.

Daily Room Routine

6:45 - 8:00 Centre Opens. Everyone gather in Pre-School room

8:00 - 8:50 Junior Kindy and toddlers separate to Toddler Playground
Nappy changes/toileting

8:50 - 9:00 Junior Kindy and toddlers separate to rooms
Washing hands

Morning tea

9:00 - 9:15 Morning tea

1 staff sit with children
1 staff serving up morning tea

9:15 - 9:30 1 staff wash faces and clean up

1 staff hats/sunscreen

9:30 - 10:00 Outside big playground

10:00 - 10:45 Inside art/craft/toileting

10:45 Packup (10:40 give the 5 min warning to pack up)

10:50 - 11:00 GL does group time (transition children to bathroom to wash hands)

Lunch time

11:00 - 11:30 Lunch

While children are eating assistant makes bed
GL sits with children or vice versa
When children have finished 1 staff cleans faces and 1 staff watches as children go to toilet
1 staff pats and 1 staff cleans

11:30 - 2:00 Rest/sleep time

1 staff on lunch
1 staff does paperwork
(as children wake, nappies/toileting/shoes)

Afternoon

2:00 - 2:30 Afternoon tea

1 staff packs away beds
1 staff serves food

2:30 - 3:00 Hats/sunscreen and any nappies to be done (Small group time)

3:00 - 3:45 Outside play (divide 14 outside 7 inside)

3:45 - 4:00 Start nappies/toileting

4:00 - 4:30 Start packing up

4:30 - 6:30 Meet down in pre school
