Wynnum & Bayside Childcare Centre

Curriculum

All children are programmed and planned for using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

The National Quality Standard (NQS) encourages educators to facilitate and extend each child’s learning and development. This can be supported through a play-based program by using practice that is thoughtful, intentional, collaborative and responsive to the everyday flow of experiences and events for children and educators.

The Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) are implemented in our Bilbies Room (Kindergarten), ensuring all children in our Bilbies have access to the Kindergarten program.

Kindergarten, known as kindy, is a part-time educational program for children in the year before Prep. Kindy is 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and is free for Queensland children attending a government-approved kindergarten program from 1 January 2024.
